The women's basketball team's arena DJ was suspended for the choice of music played at the end of the Gamecocks' win over LSU.

South Carolina had a dominant 66-56 win over LSU on Friday, January 24, that nearly went off without a hitch (or any scuffles). But a day later, Flau’jae Johnson called out South Carolina and its DJ for what she felt was inappropriate and in poor taste.

In a release issued on Sunday, school officials apologized after the DJ known as T.O. played a song released by LSU star Flau’Jae Johnson’s late father at the end of the Gamecocks’ 66-56 win at Colonial Life Arena.

South Carolina’s athletics department has suspended its women’s basketball in-game DJ following a controversial song choice and subsequent social media post, USC announced Sunday. The DJ, known as DJ T.O., will be suspended for South Carolina’s next home game against Auburn on Sunday, Feb. 2.

The Gamecocks also said they'd meet with the DJ to "provide further education on our expectations of her in the future."

Following the Tigers' loss to the Gamecocks, the DJ played a song by Johnson's late father in the arena and later made insensitive comments on social media.
